Travertine is a sedimentary rock found near freshwater lakes and rivers. It can be mined and cut along the layers of the rock, showing its distinctive veins; or, cross sections can be cut through the rock, creating an attractive, dimpled speckling.
Travertine can be expensive but, at McCartney’s, you don’t have to worry about the price of the real thing when our ranges look just as good (if not better!)…
